Albert Einstein Was A ‘Good’ Student Prove His Certificate Of Qualification, But There Are A Few Surprises

Albert Einstein, the world’s most loved genius, has always had a controversy-laden history, especially when it came to his basic academics. Urban legend firmly states that Albert Einstein was a below average student and only excelled when he gave up such trivial pursuits as a school education. However, a very rare manuscript has proven that Albert Einstein was not only a good student, but had the early signs of a genius.

Albert Einstein wasn’t a bad student by any of today’s modern standards. His matriculate certificate bears witness to his efforts at becoming a good student. The certificate shows he received straight sixes in algebra, geometry, physics, and history as well, reported Einstein-Website. In his “Certificate of Qualification” for university matriculation, the lessons which he was less interested in can easily be detected. But the average grade in his certificate was a 5. This grade was officially recognized as “Good.”

Then why does the world consider Albert Einstein to be a bad student? Perhaps the urban legend is founded on the fact that the Swiss school system has a 6 as best grade, and 1 as poorest, while the German is the other way round.
Hence the world considers young Albert to be a student of the German education system, when in fact, he studied in a Swiss school. In 1895, at the age of sixteen, Einstein appeared for the entrance examinations for the Swiss Federal Polytechnic in Zurich (later the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule ETH). He obtained the best results in the mathematical and natural science subjects, but in the linguistic and historical subjects his achievements were considered “unsatisfactory.” His overall result was rated as “insufficient.”

Having derived theorems that still baffle and bother scientists across the world, Einstein is often mistaken to be a poor student. So poor in studies was he that many go as far as saying he quit school. But as the records prove, Albert Einstein was never a dull student.

Team Work - Meaning and Tips for better Team Work

A single brain is not always capable of making key decisions on its own. To come up with an efficient solution, an individual requires the help and advice of others. A team is established when individuals get together on a common platform with the common goal of completing a task. To guarantee optimum compatibility, team members should ideally come from similar backgrounds and have a single aim. To provide their best, the team members must complement each other and function as a single unit in tight cooperation. "There is no I in Team Work," as the saying goes, and each member must put the needs of his team first. Personal interests must take a second seat. Any team's performance is directly proportionate to the relationship between its members and their combined efforts. What is the definition of teamwork? Teamwork is defined as the sum of each team member's efforts toward the fulfilment of the team's goal. In other words, any team's backbone is its ability t

Scientists discover a new theory / The fundamental property of light – 150 years after Maxwell

Light plays a vital role in our everyday lives and technologies based on light are all around us. So we might expect that our understanding of light is pretty settled. But scientists have just uncovered a new fundamental property of light that gives new insight into the 150-year-old classical theory of electromagnetism and which could lead to applications manipulating light at the nanoscale. It is unusual for a pure-theory physics paper to make it into the journal Science. So when one does, it’s worth a closer look. In the new study, researchers bring together one of physics' most venerable set of equations – those of James Clerk’s Maxwell’s famous theory of light – with one of the hot topics in modern solid-state physics: the quantum spin Hall effect and topological insulators . To understand what the fuss is about, let’s first consider the behaviour of electrons in the quantum spin Hall effect. Electrons possess an intrinsic spin as if they were tiny spinning-tops,
